In our hardware-procurement process, we attach importance to ‘green’ suppliers with a commitment to high environmental standards. This involves selecting manufacturers that produce energy-saving equipment and companies that use renewable energy.

To reduce our need for physical hardware, we also rely on virtualisation and cloud computing, which permit greater efficiency in the use of resources. In doing so, we attach importance to selecting service providers that run their servers on renewable energies – this objective is currently met at a rate of 90%.

Not only in our own interest, but also in the interest of our customers, we strive to ensure that our software is programmed in such a way as to make optimum use of all hardware while saving energy at the same time.

We are mindful of the significant amount of electronic waste that IT companies can produce. With this in mind, we extended the life cycles of our equipment from three to more than five years; we recycle wherever possible and ensure responsible disposal of our hardware at the end of its useful life.

Finally, the involvement of our employees in our sustainability efforts is important to us. We motivate our team to be environmentally responsible by requiring equipment to be switched off when not in use, minimising print jobs and ensuring proper waste separation.
